Essential Employment is seeking an Employment Solicitor/Lawyer for a full-time, temporary contract in Bournemouth. The role involves delivering high-quality legal advice and support to officers, members and clients, within a supportive and experienced legal team.

The successful candidate will undertake the full range of duties and work as part of the legal services team to contribute to the delivery of organisational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of matters relevant to the post-holder’s area of law.
• Provide clear and accurate legal advice to officers and clients on routine to complex matters.
• Support senior colleagues on more complex or high‑risk cases as required.
• Manage a busy caseload
• Represent the Client in legal proceedings commensurate with the role’s level of responsibility.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law and best practice
• Contribute to training sessions and updates for officers and clients where appropriate.
