Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dynamic Drama Teacher in Ipswich to ignite creative expression and storytelling in secondary students. The role offers a full-time, long-term contract with competitive daily rates and a supportive arts department.

You will deliver engaging drama lessons across KS3/KS4 (GCSE), own the curriculum, and help productions and extra-curricular activities while ensuring safety and high standards in performance spaces.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
• Proven track record of working as a Drama Teacher in a UK secondary school.
• Outstanding communication skills to motivate pupils of all abilities.
• Effective classroom and practical studio management strategies.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver Engaging Drama Lessons to KS3 and KS4 (GCSE).
• Full Curriculum Ownership including lesson prep and GCSE preparation.
• Foster an inclusive studio environment to build theatrical skills.
• Support school productions, drama clubs, and showcases.
• Maintain safety and high behavioral standards in studios and spaces.
