Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is currently recruiting a Drama Teacher for flexible short-term and long-term opportunities across Ipswich and surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages as part of general supply cover in various secondary settings.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, strong drama knowledge, and confident classroom management. You will inspire students, support safeguarding, and contribute to performing arts during longer-term placements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative and engaging Drama lessons following provided plans.
• Inspire students through practical and performance-based activities.
• Encourage teamwork, confidence-building, and expressive communication.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Assess and record pupil progress where required.
• Contribute to performing arts departments in longer-term placements.
