Aspire People are partnering with a large nursery group to recruit a Deputy Nursery Manager for their welcoming nursery in Stourbridge. This is a fixed term maternity cover for 12 months and requires you to support day-to-day leadership and management of a high-quality setting.

The role focuses on delivering outstanding care and education in line with EYFS, developing the team, safeguarding and building strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Passionate about delivering outstanding care and education for young children.
• Experienced early years practitioner with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Confident in supporting and developing a team.
• Knowledgeable in applying the EYFS framework.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Strong communicator; builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Organised and proactive in a busy nursery environment.
• Ambitious to develop career in early years.
• Positive role model who leads by example.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with day-to-day running.
• Create safe, stimulating environments where every child can thrive.
• Plan and support engaging learning experiences aligned with EYFS.
• Support, mentor and develop team members.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and community.
• Promote safeguarding, welfare and child wellbeing.
• Support nursery team to deliver high standards of care and education.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment.
• Assist with compliance, policies, procedures and quality improvement.
