Job summary

Coba Education is supporting a welcoming school in Northampton with the recruitment of a Cover Supervisor to join their team after the October half-term break.

This temp-to-perm role involves supervising classes across primary and secondary, delivering set work, and helping pupils stay engaged and on track with their learning. The position runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am–3.30pm, for 38 weeks per year, with a permanent contract from January 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Confident standing in front of a classroom and engaging pupils.
• Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Adaptable, reliable and happy working across different age groups.
• Able to build rapport with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absence.
• Deliver work set by the class teacher.
• Support pupils across primary and secondary age groups.
• Maintain a positive, calm and productive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Work closely with teaching and support staff across the school.
• Be flexible and ready to support different subjects and year groups throughout the day.
