Job summary

Choice Teachers in Bexleyheath is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support students when their usual teacher is absent in a secondary school setting. You will deliver pre-prepared materials, monitor behaviour and help students stay focused, while following school policies and safeguarding procedures.

This temporary/long-term role starts ASAP and offers an opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Confident managing groups of students.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
• Supporting students with their learning.
• Maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
• Reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
• Ensuring school policies and procedures are followed.
