Job summary

Laurus Trust in Manchester is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor and PE Technician to support the PE department and supervise classes during short‑term absences. The role combines classroom supervision with practical PE support and equipment preparation for high‑quality physical education.

The position is 37 hours per week, term time only, with opportunities to assist with afterschool sports, clubs, and the House Sporting Calendar.

Qualifications

• Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.
• Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.

Responsibilities

• To provide classroom and registration cover for absent teachers and provide administrative support as requested.
• To support the PE Department, taking responsibility for the organisation, coordination and supervision of afterschool sports activities and clubs in addition to coordinating the House Sporting Calendar.
