Milk Education are working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Enfield to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff,

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach, Youth Worker or similar role is desirable.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials.
• Working as a Cover Supervisor to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work set by teaching staff.
• Providing support and guidance to pupils where appropriate.
• Reporting back to teachers on pupil progress, behaviour and lesson outcomes.
• Supporting the wider school community when required.
