Job summary

EdEx - Education Recruitment is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor for a fantastic Secondary School in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. You will supervise classes across KS3-5, deliver pre-planned lessons and help pupils stay engaged and on task.

Working closely with Teachers and Heads of Department, you will develop strong classroom management and leadership skills, gaining valuable experience on the path to Teacher Training within a welcoming, collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or strong academic background preferred.
• Previous experience with young people desirable.
• Confident, enthusiastic and personable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent behaviour management potential.
• Aspiring Secondary Teachers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3-5 in the absence of the class teacher.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations throughout lessons.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group academic support as required.
• Working closely with Teachers, Heads of Department and the wider pastoral team.
• Developing strong classroom management, communication and leadership skills.
• Gaining invaluable Secondary School experience ahead of potential Teacher Training.
