Job summary

East Boldon Infant School in South Tyneside is seeking a Class Teacher and SENDCO to join our dedicated staff from January 2027. The role includes a full-time teaching commitment with allocated time for SEND beyond PPA, and a focus on Early Years and Key Stage 1 provisions.

The successful candidate will lead SEND across the school, work with families and external agencies, and support school improvement while upholding safeguarding and Ofsted framework expectations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the Early Years/Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Strong SEND leadership across the school.
• Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SEND across the school.
• Work closely with families and external agencies to ensure outstanding support.
• Plan engaging, motivating learning experiences with colleagues.
• Contribute to school improvement and safeguarding practices.
