Job summary

Whaplode Church of England Primary School in Nottingham is seeking a dedicated Teacher to join its staff. The successful candidate will work with Teaching Assistants, collaborate with colleagues and external professionals, uphold safeguarding standards and promote the school’s Christian ethos

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, differentiated curriculum for pupils in line with the National Curriculum and school policies.
• Support and monitor the overall progress and development of all pupils.
• Foster a stimulating and creative learning environment, enabling pupils to fulfil their potential and supporting effective teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the development of the school curriculum, courses, teaching materials, methods of teaching and assessment.
• Support safeguarding and health and safety within the school.
• Direct and supervise the work of Teaching Assistants.
• Co-operate with other professionals, including staff and external agencies.
• Teach pupils according to educational needs, including setting and marking work.
• Use varied delivery methods to suit different learning styles.
• Provide a positive, safe learning environment and promote punctuality and presentation.
• Support the school’s inclusion policy and identify/teach children with special needs.
• Set high expectations for behaviour and maintain discipline.
• Participate in school life and promote the Christian ethos.
• Follow and promote school policies.
