Job summary

London South East Colleges is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to maintain a safe, welcoming campus for students, staff and visitors on site. You will monitor public areas, control access, de-escalate conflicts, operate CCTV, assist in first aid and work with the team to provide a prompt, high-quality security service.

The role requires an SIA Door Supervision Licence and prior experience in security, CCTV operations or youth work, with calm, professional communication at all levels.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervision Licence required.

• Ability to manage learner behaviour with de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to campus and report unsafe activities.
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage learner behaviour.
• Coordinate with campus team for fire, security, CCTV operations.
• Administer first aid and complete incident reports when needed.
