Job summary

JustOT is seeking a Band 6 Urgent & Emergency Care Occupational Therapist to join a busy Devon team. You will work in a fast-paced acute setting, making timely clinical decisions to support urgent care pathways.

You will complete timely assessments, develop discharge plans, assess functional abilities, and apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Collaborative MDT working and moving and handling tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• Band 6 level or equivalent experience.
• Acute hospital or urgent care exposure.
• Ability to assess patients and make decisions quickly.
• Strong experience in older people's health.
• Good knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely assessments and discharge plans.
• Support safe patient pathways in urgent and emergency care.
• Assess patients' functional abilities and identify risks.
• Apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005 in assessments.
• Conduct moving and handling assessments/interventions.
• Collaborate with the MDT for safe, timely care.
