Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Technical Support - Specialist Services to manage a large, complex, and highly secure Managed Service supporting critical UK national infrastructure and HM Government Defence operations. The role is onsite in the Swindon area and requires Developed Vetting (DV) level security clearance.

• Operational Experience: Proven experience supporting secure, highly available Managed Services in regulated environments.
• Technology Awareness: Broad knowledge of networking, infrastructure, security, virtualization, and environmental systems.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaboration with on-site teams, BT lines of business, suppliers and customer authorities.
• Procedural Discipline: Strict adherence to SYOPS, processes and local work instructions.
• Teamworking: Inclusive, collaborative approach within One Team.

Responsibilities

• Handle all 1st and 2nd line operational activities for a large, highly secure Managed Service.
• Operate per platform/building SYOPS, processes, and local instructions.
• Maintain awareness of priorities, security posture and live service risk.
• Support regular testing, exercising and development of service capability.
• Identify, escalate, and help resolve incidents and service degradation.
