BT is seeking a Software Engineering Professional for Cheltenham/Manchester, onsite five days a week. The role requires current DV security clearance and ten years residence in the UK.

You'll support software design and development within a specialist security team protecting critical national infrastructure. Responsibilities include coding, testing, and contributing to architecture while ensuring secure, high-performance software.

Qualifications

• The software engineering role requires programming and scripting capability.
• Ability to design and implement software with security considerations.
• Experience with testing and quality assurance principles.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of secure software solutions in line with architecture and security standards.
• Contribute to technical decisions, technology choices, and architectural direction.
• Maintain systems by monitoring and correcting defects and implementing improvements.
• Write, test, review code and participate in CI/CD and automation tasks.
