Job summary

Morson Group is seeking an experienced Red Team Consultant with active DV clearance to join a major UK defence organisation in Bristol. The role is hybrid, roughly 50% onsite with frequent customer visits. The rate is £88.98 per hour (umbrella) for a 6‑month initial contract.

Responsibilities include planning red team operations, adversary emulation, and high‑level penetration testing across on‑prem and cloud environments. Strong tooling experience and certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hands-on red teaming or adversary simulation experience.
• Proficient in Windows, Linux, AD, networking and cloud basics.
• Experience with offensive security tools and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver red team operations and adversary emulation exercises.
• Execute offensive techniques: initial access, privilege escalation, lateral movement, persistence.
• Develop and maintain offensive tooling, payloads and C2 infrastructure.
• Apply techniques involving EDR evasion and exploitation across on-prem and cloud.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.
• Produce clear technical reports with actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to red team capability development and tooling.
