Job summary

Certes is seeking a Project Control Officer (DV Cleared) to support a government portfolio of projects in a busy delivery environment. You will assist the Project Manager with supplier orders, invoices, planning, financial management, documentation and reporting.

The role requires strong drafting, numeracy and MS Project skills, plus Prince2/APM qualifications or equivalent. You will work within a team to manage risks, budgets and project delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and team player skills.
• Good drafting skills such as minute taking.
• Good numerical and project financial skills.
• Able to manage and prioritise workload and time effectively.
• Proficient with MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
• MS Project 2007.
• APM Fundamentals or Prince2 Foundation/Practitioner qualification and experience.
• Knowledge of Oracle financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive project support service directly supporting Programme Managers and Project Managers.
• Act as point of contact for internal and external customers, responding promptly to queries.
• Organise and manage dates and documentation for programme and project meetings.
• Attend internal IT meetings, formulate and circulate agendas and action lists.
• Oversee risks and issues management.
• Ensure compliance to commercial gate review process and prepare documentation as needed.
• Develop and monitor projects, check output quality and alignment with business requirements.
• Monitor delivery of work streams against plans, chase progress when needed.
• Represent the Project Manager at meetings as requested.
• Administer, monitor and report on project budgets according to client processes and timetables.
• Track actual costs against budgets and produce monthly reports.
• Create or maintain project plans using MS Project.
