Job summary

Our Client in Malvern is seeking a DV Cleared Principal Engineer for a 6-month contract with potential extension. The role offers up to £700 per day via an approved umbrella company, with 5 days on-site work to satisfy security requirements.

You will deliver end-to-end IT infrastructure activities, build and configure Windows environments, and support logging and monitoring tooling. The position emphasizes hands-on delivery, clear documentation, and collaboration with operational teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Windows-based IT infrastructure and security-focused projects.
• Experience with logging, monitoring and vulnerability tooling.
• Experience with DV clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure Windows infrastructure with Domain setup and licensing.
• Update and configure 3rd party apps and security tooling.
• Configure networking and monitoring components.
• Prepare SQL Server and Windows templates.
• Set up logging/monitoring with Splunk and forwarders.
• Support penetration testing and remediation planning.
• Provide architectural support during onboarding and handover.
• Update documentation and support service transitions.
