Job summary

2F is seeking an ambitious Platform Engineer to join the UK team, driving DevSecOps for the Game Warden platform across secure, air-gapped environments. You will enable secure cloud deployments, automation, and compliance for UK government and defence projects.

Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in DevSecOps and cloud-native design across AWS/Azure/GCP, with Kubernetes, Docker, and Golang expertise. This remote-first role requires UK-based residency and DV clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in DevSecOps, systems engineering and software development.
• Senior software and cloud platform design experience in cloud-native environments.
• Strong background with Kubernetes, Docker and cloud orchestration.
• Proficiency in Golang or similar languages.
• Familiarity with MOD Secure by Design, JSP 453, NCSC Cloud Security Principles, NIST 800-53.
• Experience deploying in air-gapped/classified environments.
• Security-focused CI/CD pipelines across SDLC.
• Experience with SIEM, monitoring and alerting systems.
• REST API authentication and microservice patterns.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with AI tools to accelerate day-to-day work.
• Certified AWS/Google/Azure Solutions Architect.
• Experience in UK defence/regulatory environments.
• Startup/high-growth experience.
• Familiar with UK accreditation and risk processes.
• Familiar with GitLab, Google Workspace, Slack.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps best practices from development to deployment.
• Integrate and maintain SIEM and security tooling for observability and compliance.
• Build scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and Pulumi (Go-based).
• Collaborate across teams to plan infrastructure and deliver on product roadmaps in Agile settings.
• Document infrastructure and procedures for secure, repeatable deployments.
• Work with UK defence stakeholders to provision secure cloud resources and meet accreditation criteria.
• Contribute to R&D to advance platform capabilities in secure/disconnected environments.
• Shape 2F’s UK DevSecOps strategy and infrastructure standards.
