Job summary

Cleantech Impact Partners Ltd is seeking an experienced DV-cleared Platform Engineer to join their defence tech team in London. You will design, build and harden secure platforms with containerisation and orchestration, delivering high-trust infrastructure for UK Defence programs.

DV Cleared Platform Engineer

Build the platforms behind the country's most sensitive systems.

We are working with a leading global IT and business consulting firm, deeply Embedded in UK Defence and National Security, to identify an experienced DV‑cleared Platform Engineer to join their defence team.

You'll be designing, building and hardening secure platforms at the highest level of trust, containerisation, orchestration and secure‑by‑design engineering on programmes where reliability and security are inseparable. This is real technical ownership on some of the most demanding infrastructure challenges in UK Defence, working closely with architects and security teams who take the work as seriously as you do.

Our client has decades of experience delivering to UK Defence and intelligence agencies, and invests properly in developing its technical people, whether that means going deeper into platform architecture or branching into leadership.

Essential:

• Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance
• UK resident for a minimum of 10 years
• Due to the secure nature of the role, candidates must be sole UK nationals
• Hands‑on platform engineering background, building and operating secure, scalable platforms
• Comfortable working within the most highly secure, regulated environments

Desirable:

• Defence, Intelligence, or wider public sector background
• Containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Military transition candidates with hands‑on technical platform experience
