Job summary

Oscar Associates Ltd. in Cheltenham seeks a Microsoft Support Engineer to join a secure MSP environment, delivering second-line support for identity and authentication infrastructure. This hands-on role requires active UKIC DV/eDV clearance and is fully on-site in Cheltenham.

Responsibilities include incident management, platform health monitoring and administration of AD, AD FS, PKI and related technologies. The contract runs for 18 months with potential permanent placement (TBC).

Qualifications

• Active UKIC DV or eDV clearance.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory and AD FS.
• Windows Server administration.
• PKI and certificate management.
• SQL Server expertise.
• PowerShell automation experience.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Kerberos, NTLM).
• Government/defence environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line support for Microsoft server, identity and federation services.
• Manage and resolve incidents, service requests and operational changes.
• Monitor platform health, performance and service availability.
• Administer Active Directory, AD FS, Device Registration Services and authentication platforms.
• Support security patching, vulnerability remediation and certificate management.
