Job summary

Scantec Recruitment seeks a DV Cleared Mechanical Supervisor for a contract project at AWE, Reading. The role involves on-site safety leadership, daily briefings, and coordination with client and subcontractors. Working hours are 7:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, for 8 weeks with potential extension.

DV Clearance, SMSTS, IPAF and NVQ Level 3 in the relevant trade are essential. Start date 28/09/2026. CIS pay applies. Strict site safety compliance and quality workmanship are expected.

• Conduct daily safety briefings, review work permits, risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with site safety rules, update daily progress reports and work records.
• Measure, mark out, and prepare pipework for installation; install piping systems; assemble spools, valves and fittings.

We are currently looking for a DV Cleared Mechanical Supervisor for our client on a project based in AWE, Reading

Type: Contract

Start Date: 28/09/2026

Duration: 8 weeks with the potential to be extended

Pay Type: CIS

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm

Essential Requirements: Must hold current DV Clearance, SMSTS, IPAF and NVQ level 3 in relevant trade

Duties: Conduct daily safety briefings, review work permits, risk assessments and method statements. Ensure compliance with site safety rules, update daily progress reports and work records.

Measure, mark out, and prepare pipework for installation. Install carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, plastic, or specialist nuclear piping systems. Assemble pipe spools, valves, flanges, supports, and fittings.
