Job summary
BT Group is seeking a security platform engineer to join our team delivering big data platforms and 24x7 monitoring for critical national infrastructure. You will work on OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Ceph, Hadoop, and PySpark/Scala applications on a predominantly Linux estate, with a DevOps mindset.
This role requires DV clearance and is onsite five days a week in London or Ipswich. You will monitor platform performance, manage relationships with monitoring teams, and deliver monthly reports while
Qualifications
- Essential: strong Linux admin and server hardware skills.
- Experience with Proxmox, Ceph, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and communicate with senior stakeholders.
- DV clearance required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 platform support and monitoring enhancements.
- Manage 24x7 monitoring relationships with internal and external teams.
- Produce monthly platform reports tailored to customer requirements.
- Own assets lifecycle from order to decommissioning.
