Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect for a 18-month contract in Milton Keynes with hybrid working. The role leads the Technology & Architecture workstream, delivering secure, scalable enterprise architectures across complex systems and secure environments.

You will define standards, governance and roadmaps, provide design authority, and engage with senior stakeholders to guide technology investment and procurement decisions.

Qualifications

• You must have extensive enterprise architecture experience across tech, infrastructure and security.
• Experience in governance frameworks and architecture standards is essential.
• Ability to develop target-state architectures and technology roadmaps.
• Proven capability to review designs and assure technical architectures.
• Strong risk and technical debt management and security-minded design.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Define principles, standards, reference architectures and integration patterns.
• Develop target-state architectures and roadmaps aligned to strategy.
• Provide architecture governance and design authority.
• Review and challenge solution architectures and designs.
• Identify risks, dependencies and technical debt; manage trade-offs.
• Ensure security-by-design across solutions and investments.
• Collaborate with senior technical, business, operations and security teams.
• Present recommendations to governance boards and leadership.
• Provide technical leadership to architects and specialists.
