Job summary

Premier Inn in Birmingham City Centre (Waterloo Street) is seeking a Hotel Duty Manager to lead the hotel on shift, coordinating across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations. The role offers permanent hours with a guaranteed 23 hours per week and a pay rate of up to £13.86 per hour.

You’ll be on the floor, guiding teams, resolving guest queries, and supporting different departments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and guest-query handling.
• Calm under pressure with good decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre‑shift briefings.
• Support and coach team members throughout the day.
• Help guests with questions and sort out problems.
• Jump in to support different teams, from reception to the restaurant.
• Spot issues early and keep guests safe and the hotel running smoothly.
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager and wider leadership team.
