Whitbread is recruiting a Duty Manager for Newcastle City Centre (The Gate) at Premier Inn. The role focuses on leading shifts, delivering great guest experiences and ensuring smooth hotel operations with support from a wider leadership team.

Working 40 hours per week with a permanent contract, you will collaborate across reception, housekeeping and restaurant teams and be ready to take ownership during busy periods. A path to Hotel Manager exists for ambitious individuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and supervise shifts.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings.
• Support and coach team members throughout the day.
• Help guests with questions and resolve issues.
• Jump in to support reception, housekeeping and restaurant teams.
• Spot issues early and take corrective action.
• Ensure guest safety and smooth hotel operations.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Manager and leadership team.
