The Post in Context

The Wave Team has considerable experience in managing community leisure facilities, including leisure centres (wet and dry), dual use sites (such as schools and colleges), and running sport and physical activity programmes both indoors and outdoors.

This role is vital in providing a friendly, safe, and efficient service to all customers. The postholder must be an inspirational role model, leading and motivating teams to deliver excellence in a busy centre environment.

The position is based at Hillbrow Health & Wellbeing, Hillbrow Sports Centre, Meads, Eastbourne. A partnership between Wave Active and South Downs Health and Care will operate a health and wellbeing hub at the Denton Road site in Meads, combining high-quality sport and leisure facilities with NHS and private healthcare services.

Experience (Essential)

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or ability to obtain it
