Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Dumper Operative – Earthworks in Darlington to safely operate forward tipping dumpers and transport soil and materials around site. You will work with excavator operators and groundworkers to maintain loading and haul roads, and perform daily safety checks in a busy earthworks environment.

The role requires CPCS/NPORS for Forward Tipping Dumper endorsement, CIS registration, and earthworks experience. Immediate start; PPE supplied.

Qualifications

• Safety conscious and reliable on active construction sites.
• Punctual and works well in a team.
• Experience with earthworks or large-scale sites is preferred.

Dumper Operative – Earthworks

Location: Darlington

Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour (CIS)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forward tipping dumpers (wheeled or tracked) to transport soil, sub-base materials, and muck across site.
• Work in coordination with excavator operators and groundworkers to maintain safe loading, tipping, and site haul roads.
• Perform daily pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and ensure all plant machinery is operated safely.
• Adhere strictly to site safety rules, speed limits, and traffic management protocols.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card (Forward Tipping Dumper endorsement essential).
• Proven track record on earthworks or large-scale groundworks sites.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, safety boots).
• Valid CIS registration.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and commitment to site safety.
