Job summary

Greenacre Environmental Systems is expanding its site team in Dewsbury and seeks a Mechanical Fitter's Mate to join on a permanent basis. You will support established teams delivering ventilation projects across the UK for water industry clients.

Flexibility on working location is required as sites vary. You will work with ductwork and fans, assist with installation and maintenance, and contribute to safe, efficient job completion while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with ductwork installation and GRP glassing is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to read and use schematics/maintenance drawings to analyse faults.
• Organised with ability to plan removal/reinstallation of components within a system.
• High personal standards regarding Environment, Quality and Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and assemble mechanical systems; primarily ductwork and fans; plastic and metal.
• Glass fibre coating of ductwork joints.
• Work as part of a team; communicate effectively, follow instructions accurately and be punctual.
• Knowledge of site working procedures.
• Complete inspections, fault identification and produce short reports on existing ventilation systems.
• Ensure health and safety, quality and environmental procedures are adhered to.
• Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment.
• Assist other disciplines when required.
• Ensure safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to a high and safe standard.
