Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd represents a well established air conditioning and ventilation company based in the Norwich area, delivering high-quality ventilation installations across commercial, industrial and residential projects. They are looking for an experienced Duct Fitter to work locally in Norwich with some work across East Anglia.

You will install, read drawings, measure, cut and fit ductwork, fit grilles and dampers, seal joints and support structures, and help train less experienced team

Qualifications

• Several years' experience within ductwork/ventilation installation.
• Good knowledge of commercial and/or industrial ventilation systems.
• The ability to read and understand mechanical and ductwork drawings.
• Experience with the installation, assembly and modification of ductwork.
• Good practical and problem-solving skills.A strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• The confidence to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• The ability and willingness to train and support less experienced engineers/installers.
• A good understanding of site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Installing and fitting ductwork systems in commercial, industrial and residential properties.
• Reading and working from mechanical and ductwork drawings.
• Measuring, cutting and assembling sections of ductwork.
• Installing ductwork supports, brackets, hangers and associated components.
• Fitting grilles, diffusers, dampers and other ventilation components.
• Sealing and securing ductwork to ensure installations are completed to a high standard.
• Carrying out modifications and alterations to existing ductwork where required.
• Working alongside other trades and engineers to ensure installations are completed efficiently.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with relevant health and safety requirements.
• Supporting and training less experienced members of the team, sharing your knowledge and experience to help develop their skills.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship across all projects.

Job description

Our client is a well established air conditioning and ventilation company based in the Norwich area specialising in high-quality ventilation installations across commercial, industrial and residential projects.

They are looking to bring an experienced Duct Fitter into their team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has solid experience within ductwork installation and is confident working independently, while also being able to support and train less experienced members of the team. This is a local role in which the chosen candidate will be expected to work in the Norwich area with some work also in the East Anglia Region.

The Role

As a Duct Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation of ventilation and ductwork systems across a range of projects.

About You

The ideal candidate will have strong previous experience as a Duct Fitter or Ductwork Installer and be comfortable taking responsibility for their own work.
