Job summary

CTS Recruitment in Manchester is seeking experienced Duct Fitters to join a growing team on commercial projects across Retail, NHS and general sites. Duct Fitters and Duct Fitters Mates are welcome; career progression may be available and travel to UK sites is required.

The role entails installing and commissioning ductwork, following drawings and schedules, and maintaining high safety standards. 40 hours per week with overtime paid at premium rates.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience within a duct fitting role.
• CSCS Skill Card.
• PASMA.
• IPAF.
• Current valid UK Driving Licence.
• Good understanding of HVAC systems.
• Experience of working in the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

• Install/decommission ductwork components across rectangular, circular and flat oval ductwork.
• Take instructions from the Project Manager and work to drawings and schedules.
• Liaise daily with the Project Manager about works issued, shortages, delays or extra items.
• Travel to sites across the UK and may stay away 1 night per week.
• Willing to work outside normal hours to complete projects on time.
• Maintain PPE and uniform; keep stock and tools tidy on the vehicle.
• Ensure information is handed in promptly and accurately.
• Identify improvement opportunities and relay ideas to Line Manager.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues and help nurture future talent.
• Adhere to health & safety policies and safe working practices.

We are looking to recruit a number of Duct Fitters for a leading business in Manchester who are expanding their team due to increase in workload.We are looking for experienced ductwork installers who take real pride in their work.Candidates with have a demonstrable background working on commercial installations with the business working on Retail, NHS and general Commercial sitesExperienced candidates preferred however Duct Fitters Mates will also be considered.Hours – 40 hours per week + All OT Paid at Premium rates

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Installation/decommission of ductwork system components, which may include rectangular, circular and flat oval ductwork (of all pressure classifications).
• Take instruction from the Project Manager and work in accordance with drawings, schedules and instructions.
• Liaise daily with the Project Manager regarding the works issued and highlight any potential problems, shortages, extra items or delays, promptly.
• Travel to sites across the UK – may be required to say away 1 night per week
• Willing to work out of normal working hours to ensure that projects are completed on time.
• Ensure that any PPE and uniform is worn and kept clean and tidy.
• Ensure all necessary information is handed in promptly and completed correctly.
• Maintenance and security of stock levels on the vehicle and other items issued.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and put your ideas forward to your Line Manager.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to more inexperienced colleagues and help to nurture future talent.
• Adhere to all health & safety policies, risk assessments and safe working practices, ensuring your own health and safety and that of others.
