Job summary

Auto Skills UK seeks a dual-skilled Bodyshop Technician in Oldham, Greater Manchester. You will perform panel beating and MET duties, including geometry checks and suspension-related repairs, in a modern, fast-paced environment.

You should have completed a recognised apprenticeship and possess solid experience in a busy bodyshop, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Completed an apprenticeship in Panel Beating and/or MET at NVQ/VCQ/SVQ/ATA level or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a busy Bodyshop environment as Panel Beater and MET Technician.
• Strong understanding of modern body repair methods and mechanical procedures.
• Competent with geometry equipment and suspension-related repair tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality panel repairs including reshaping, welding, filling and structural work.
• Perform MET duties: strip/refit, mechanical repairs, suspension work and geometry/diagnostic checks.
• Work efficiently to maximise productivity and deliver results to factory standards.
• Follow repair methods and ensure safety and customer satisfaction.
• Utilise modern tools and equipment in a state-of-the-art Bodyshop.
