Job summary

Anchor Group Services in Carmarthen is seeking a Dual Service Operative to blend security and cleaning duties at St Catherine's Walk Shopping Centre. You will maintain CCTV operations, stay visibly present, and perform cleaning tasks while delivering first-class customer service. Training is available if you don't yet hold a CCTV licence.

The role is 2 on/6 off, 7:30–18:00, about 18.4 hours weekly with a pay rate of £12.90 per hour. Full uniform and Anchor Academy resources are provided.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA CCTV licence is required; training available for suitable candidates.
• Experience in customer service with the ability to handle conflict appropriately.
• Clear communication skills, professional presentation and reliability.
• Flexibility to work weekends and variable shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and security operations from the control room.

Reporting to: Dual Service Manager & Operations Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available at Anchor GroupServices for an experienced Dual Service Operative to join our established teamat St Catherines Walk Shopping Centre in Carmarthen.

This role combines both security and cleaning responsibilities,ensuring the centre remains safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors. Thesuccessful candidate will be expected to carry out routine cleaning tasks whilemaintaining a visible and professional security presence, carrying out CCTV control room duties, and supporting the overall safety and operation of the site.

A valid CCTV licence is required as you will carry out control room duties as part of this role. However, if you do not hold a CCTV licence, training will be available for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor and manage all activities within the CCTV control room, ensuring effective oversight of security operations.
  
• Respond to and elevate incidents appropriately to the ControlRoom, Soft Services Manager, Ops Management, or Emergency Services.
  
• Complete detailed reports and logs of observations, incidents,and surveillance activities.
  
• Ensure compliance with legal and site-specific requirements touphold the organisation’s reputation.
  
• Carry out routine and reactive cleaning tasks, includinglitter picking, spill response, mopping, and general upkeep of the centre.
  
• Operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
  
• Provide a professional and friendly service tocustomers and visitors.
  
• Respond to customer queries and requests with a helpful andsolution-focused approach.
  
• Maintain a visible presence on site, contributing to a safeand welcoming environment.
  
• Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures to ensureconsistent service delivery.
  
• Collaborate with the wider team to support the smooth runningof the centre.
  

Requirements

• Full 5-year employment checkable history
  
• A valid SIA/CCTV licence - CCTV training is available for the successful candidate
  
• Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflictin a correct manner
  
• Understanding of COSHH
  
• Flexible to meet the job requirements
