A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Dual Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee a new residential home in Birmingham. This key role involves ensuring high standards of care for young people with complex needs, and compliance with relevant regulations. Qualifications

  • Previous Ofsted experience required, able to provide past reports.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years management experience.

  • Manage and lead the children's home in compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee safeguarding measures and ensure care plans are in place.
  • Manage budgets and financial procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a Dual Registered Children's Home Manager to over see a children's residential home that supports young people aged from 9 up to 18 years with complex emotional, behavioural, developmental and mental health issues. Ensuring high standards of care and effective leadership.

This role also involves overseeing the opening of a new children's home, which once opened you will be the manager of both.
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the opening of a brand new home.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Dual registered home manager, with previous Ofsted experience.
  • Manage and lead the children's home in line with relevant policies and statutory regulations.
  • Oversee safeguarding measures, ensure all care plans and risk assessments are in place and regularly updated.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Children Act 1989, and related legislation.
  • Ensure health and safety is maintained at all times.
  • Manage budgets and financial procedures.
Requirements:
  • Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management.
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Previous Ofsted experience and would need to provide previous Ofsted reports.
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of children's residential care legislation.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
