Job summary

Vetro Recruitment seeks a Dual Registered Manager to lead two children's homes in Hampshire, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. You will manage budgets, staffing rotas, and drive the organisation's care ethos across practice and culture.

The role requires a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare and proven leadership in a residential setting, with strong communication and partnership-building skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Proven leadership experience within a children’s residential care setting, including managing teams and service delivery.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lead with professionalism, resilience, and a child-centred approach, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the operational management of both homes, ensuring consistently high standards of care and safeguarding.
• Ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards 2015, including maintaining an up-to-date Statement of Purpose.
• Developing and supporting staff through induction, supervision, appraisal, training plans, and effective communication systems.
• Promoting partnership working with children, families, internal teams, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes.
• Implementing the organisation’s care ethos and model across practice and culture.
• Managing staffing resources, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, and overseeing budgets and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the operational management of both homes, ensuring consistently high standards of care and safeguarding.
• Ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards 2015, including maintaining an up-to-date Statement of Purpose.
• Developing and supporting staff through induction, supervision, appraisal, training plans, and effective communication systems.
• Promoting partnership working with children, families, internal teams, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes.
• Implementing the organisation’s care ethos and model (including PACE / DDP) across practice and culture.
• Managing staffing resources, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, and overseeing budgets and operational targets.
