Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to cover Newport and the wider South Wales region. The role combines surveying and analytical duties across commercial and mixed-use properties, with strong operational support and clear career progression.

The candidate will perform asbestos surveys, air monitoring, and detailed reporting, ensuring compliance with current legislation and UKAS guidelines.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications or equivalent.
• Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst or similar.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage workload independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearance, leak testing, smoke testing, and reassurance sampling per HSG248.
• Work across commercial and mixed-use properties.
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Manage workload efficiently across multiple client sites.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
