Job summary

Orion Smart Metering is expanding its national team and seeks experienced Dual Fuel Engineers to install meters in domestic properties across the UK.

You will hold a Diploma or qualification in Smart Meter Engineering, possess MOCOPA and CMA1/CCN1/MET1 credentials, a valid driving licence and a clean DBS. The role offers a stable full-time position with a competitive salary, bonuses, and benefits.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, with optional weekends, and a KPI bonus scheme is included.

Qualifications

• Diploma or qualification in Smart Meter Engineering.
• MOCOPA certification (completed on induction if not already held).
• CMA1 certificate or CCN1 & MET1.
• Valid driving licence and clean DBS check (recent preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install Dual Fuel meters in domestic properties as part of national contracts.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards during installation.
• Meet daily targets and participate in optional weekend work when targets are met.

Job description

At Orion Smart Metering, we’re proud to work with leading energy suppliers across the UK. We’re now expanding our team and are looking for experienced Dual Fuel Engineers to install meters in domestic properties as part of our growing national contracts.

The Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer must live in BN1, 6, 45, 50 or RH15-17.

The Role

Pay & Package Options

• Salary Package
  • £45,000 per annum
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

  • Price per job: £150 per dual, £80 per single, £50 per transactional job
  • Saturday work available (paid at day rate)

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (1-hour lunch)
• Minimum of 4 jobs per day / 20 per week
• Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met

Bonus Breakdown

• KPI Bonus – £150 per month
  • Achieved by hitting 75% completion of your jobs in a calendar month
• Attendance Bonus – £150 per month
  • Awarded for full attendance and no sick days in a calendar month (pro-rated for holiday taken)
