Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in St Albans is seeking an experienced asbestos professional to fill a dual role as Surveyor and Analyst. The position covers surveying and analytical duties across commercial and mixed-use sites in the St Albans area and wider M25 corridor.

The role requires BOHS P402/403/404 qualifications, experience in a dual role, strong asbestos regulatory knowledge, and a valid UK driving licence. A company vehicle is provided and this is a permanent, long-term opportunity.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 & P404 (or equivalent qualifications).
• Experience working in a dual Surveyor / Analyst role.
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Delivering Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys in line with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, leak testing, smoke testing, and reassurance sampling.
• Working across commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
• Producing accurate, compliant survey and analytical reports.
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
