Qualifications

• Must have strong practical skills and confidence with a range of tools and workshop equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment is essential.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities are required.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work with teaching staff to support students are important.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, tools and equipment for practical DT lessons.
• Support teachers during practical lessons and assist students where appropriate.
• Maintain and organise DT workshops, classrooms and storage areas.
• Ensure tools, machinery and equipment are safe, clean and ready for use.
• Carry out basic maintenance and repairs of equipment where required.
• Manage stock levels and order or prepare materials when needed.
• Support displays, student projects and practical demonstrations.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with the DT department to provide an engaging learning environment.
