Job summary

Mildenhall College Academy is seeking a DT/Art Technician to provide technical support for the Design Technology and Art Faculty. The role requires preparing rooms and workshops, maintaining equipment, and managing stock levels to support teaching activities.

The successful candidate should be well-organised, proactive and able to work independently, with good communication to engage with staff and students. DBS checks and safeguarding measures apply, with term-time hours.

About this Role

Contract Type: permanent

Hours: 29.33 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (term time only) / (Monday,Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am to 3:45pm, Wednesday 9:00am to 2:40pm)

NJC Scale: 3-6

Actual Salary: £17,464 - £18,304 per annum / FTE Salary:£25,614 - £26,847 per annum

• Preparation of rooms, studios or workshops.
• Maintenance and repairs to al equipment and facilities.
• Maintain stock levels of apparatus and materials and re-order as necessary through the established procedure, including keeping stock records and carrying out stock checks.
• Check deliveries and invoices and refer any queries to suppliers or administrative staff, as appropriate.
• Ensure that Health & Safety regulations and relevant legislation are observed.
