Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team focused on Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) across cloud platforms. You will drive data discovery, classification and protection strategies while guiding architectural decisions and security-focused delivery.

You will partner with Product, Infra, and Security to deliver scalable cloud platforms, improve data protection, and ensure compliance across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Management Experience: 5+ years of software engineering, with 2+ years leading teams.
• Cloud & Distributed Systems: architecting and operating large-scale SaaS/cloud platforms.
• Modern Stack: microservices, cloud deployments, relational/NoSQL databases.
• AI tooling: familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership & People Development: lead and mentor a team of 5-7 engineers.
• Technical & Architectural Guidance: set direction on cloud microservices and data pipelines.
• Product Execution & Delivery: translate requirements into roadmaps and deliver features on time.
• Innovation: design scalable scanning architectures for large datasets across multi-cloud sources.
• Operational Excellence: ensure high availability, performance, and automated testing.
• AI & Modern Workflow Adoption: promote AI-assisted development tools to improve SDLC.
