Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking a Pre-Boarder in Northumberland to join the construction site team. The role pays £19 per hour and focuses on preparing internal timber or steel stud frames for drywall installation, applying sealant, and installing insulation.

Candidates should hold a valid CSCS card, have own hand tools, and demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and strong safety practices on site. PPE is provided and on-site duties include general site prep.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required or equivalent certification.
• Experience in pre-boarding, insulation installation, or drylining prep.
• Own standard hand tools for preparation and sealing work.
• Full PPE required and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timber or steel stud frames for drywall installation.
• Apply sealant and install insulation into wall cavities.
• Check frame alignments, cut-outs, and tape prep surfaces.
• Assist trade team with site prep and material handling.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area.
