Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Driving Recruitment Consultant to join our Milton Keynes team. You will manage your own client and candidate portfolio, specialising in recruiting drivers across temporary, contract and permanent roles.

You will build strong relationships with haulage and logistics operators, develop new business and drive high-volume placements, with a focus on compliance and quality candidates to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Proven recruitment experience in driving or logistics.
• Strong understanding of the driving/logistics market.
• Experience in temporary, contract or permanent recruitment.
• Ability to speak with drivers and decision-makers at all levels.
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially focused and target-driven mindset.
• Resilience and determination to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with haulage, logistics and transport companies.
• Identify new business opportunities and actively grow your client portfolio.
• Source, interview and qualify drivers across your specialist market.
• Manage the recruitment process from initial vacancy through to successful placement.
• Build and maintain a strong network of reliable, licensed drivers.
• Respond quickly to urgent and high-volume driving requirements.
• Understand client operations, fleet requirements, licence categories and market conditions.
• Negotiate rates and terms with both clients and candidates.
• Maintain regular contact with placed candidates and clients to ensure strong ongoing relationships.
• Ensure all candidates meet relevant compliance, licence and right-to-work requirements.
• Work towards and exceed weekly and monthly activity and billing targets.
• Develop your knowledge of the driving and logistics market and become recognised as a specialist within your sector.
