Job summary

The Best Connection Enfield is recruiting for a Driver's Mate/Porter at Brimsdown (EN3), Enfield. The role offers shifts from 06:00 to 17:00 (or 10:00 to 21:00) with pay from £14.55 per hour, rising to £18.30 per hour for late-night hours. Full training provided and ongoing assignments available.

Ideal candidates show a good level of fitness, reliability, and customer-focused service. Previous experience is desirable but not essential; training is provided to help you get started.

Qualifications

• Reliable and capable of manual handling and lifting tasks.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting drivers with loading and unloading goods.
• Helping deliver goods to customers' homes (room of choice).
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Carrying out basic vehicle checks and keeping paperwork up to date.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are followed at all times.
• Calling customers 30 minutes before delivery.

Shifts and Pay

• Monday to Sunday - Any 5 in 7
• 06:00 to 17:00 shifts and 10:00 to 21:00 shifts
• £14.55 per hour Between 06:00 and 18:00
• £17.30 per hour between 18:00 and 22:00
• £18.30 per hour between 22:00 and 06:00

Duties

• Assisting drivers with loading and unloading goods
• Helping deliver goods to customers\' homes (room of choice)
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Drivers Mate/Porter is desirable but not essential
• A good level of fitness and the ability to handle manual loads
• Friendly and reliable with a positive attitude
• Good communication skills
