Job summary

Pickfords Move Management Ltd is seeking a team-oriented loader/handler to contribute to safe loading of vehicles and storage containers. You will follow company procedures, maintain service timetables, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction on every shift.

Full on-the-job training is provided, with a focus on high standards of discipline and care for client possessions. The role requires excellent spoken English, literacy, numeracy, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Handles customers with high service standards.

• Able to work from plans/drawings and instruct staff accordingly.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and conducting risk assessments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Contribute to a team of motivated workers, ensuring the safe loading of vehicles or storage containers. You will be fully conversant with and conform to all relevant Company procedures and will ensure Company instructions and standards of discipline, workmanship and safety of themselves and the workers under their direct control are always maintained. You will be responsible for the courteous interface with customers and ensure timetables and service expectations are maintained.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

• Excellent spoken English
• Literate and numerate
• Driving licence (essential)
• Full on the job training will be given

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE:

• Handling customers to a superior level of service delivery
• Care of client’s possessions
• Ensuring Company instructions and standards of discipline, workmanship, and safety (including accident reporting) are always maintained
• Ability to work from plans/drawings and instruct staff accordingly
• Knowledge and experience of office and commercial work desirableKnowledge and experience of implementing Health & Safety Regulations and conducting Risk Assessments
