Job summary

XPO in Motherwell is seeking Drivers Mates for a permanent day-shift role. You will join a two-person team delivering to commercial properties, starting around 6am and finishing by the end of the day. You will work with the same driver daily and learn the route in advance.

The role requires a reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to perform manual handling. Training will be provided, focusing on safe and accurate deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit as deliveries can be heavy.
• Previous experience would be great, though full training can be given.
• Experience in customer-facing roles for complex deliveries is preferred.

Career Opportunities: Drivers Mate Days Motherwell (2700)

Are you currently working in a warehouse environment or as a driver's mate? Do you enjoy being active and working as a 2-person team? We are looking for flexible Drivers Mates to join us at our site in Motherwell on a permanent basis.

You will be supporting us with one of our contracts working on the day shift. The role involves multi drop deliveries to customer at various locations. This is a very varied contract, so it gives you the chance to do something different every day.

• Guaranteed minimum of £26,227 for 40 hours


• Monday to Friday days (6am start time)

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Making deliveries to commercial properties and putting products into a specified room


• You will be working in partnership with the same driver each day


• You will know your work pattern weeks in advance


• Full manual handling training will be given

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• You must be physically fit as the deliveries can be a little heavy

• You will be working at customers sites making complex deliveries so must have previous experience in customer facing roles
