Job summary

GXO is seeking a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Aberdeen (AB10 7AY). The role is full-time and permanent with a two-week rotating shift pattern starting at 11:00, 40 hours per week.

As part of a two-person delivery crew, you will handle multi-drop rounds, assist with loading/unloading, and provide friendly customer service while ensuring goods arrive in excellent condition. A DBS check and a can-do attitude are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-drop home delivery preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing.
• Can-do attitude with a knack for problem solving.
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises on a multidrop basis (approx. 16 drops/day off-peak and 24/day in peak).
• Assist the delivery driver with parking, manoeuvring and loading/unloading of vehicles.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure goods are delivered in good condition.
• Keep customers informed of delivery times and communicate any issues politely.

Here at GXO, we're working together with B&Q and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Aberdeen (AB10 7AY).

You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Sunday to Thursday, with a start time of 11:00. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.

• An hourly rate of £13.69, that is an annual salary of £28,475.20
• Overtime pay of £20.54 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drop per day in peak season
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:
