Job summary

Greenergy, a national UK fuel supplier, is recruiting for Long Haul Tanker Delivery Drivers at our Barnstaple site. The role is Monday to Friday with up to four nights out per week, delivering fuels to commercial customers and upholding Greenergy's high standards of service.

The successful candidate will drive safely, complete vehicle checks, and maintain accurate delivery paperwork while representing Greenergy with professionalism and integrity across the supply network.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK LGV Cat C+E licence and minimum two years Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid CPC and Digi Card.
• Knowledge of driver regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• ADR certificate and experience with Dangerous Goods.
• Excellent verbal communication and health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of fuels to customer sites.
• Loading and making deliveries safely and professionally.
• Complete vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Provide quality customer service with a proactive attitude.
• Follow Health and Safety procedures.
• Operate vehicle and depot equipment per standard procedures.
• Build relationships with internal colleagues.
• Accurately complete all delivery paperwork.

Greenergy is a national UK fuel supplier and a leading European manufacturer of waste-based renewables. We have a 24/7 in-house haulage operation with over 650 drivers and a fleet of more than 250 tankers, delivering over 182,000 deliveries annually to 3,100 customers across the UK.

We are recruiting Long Haul Tanker Delivery Drivers for our Barnstaple site. The role is Monday–Friday with up to four nights out per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering various fuels to commercial customers, representing Greenergy with the utmost professionalism and delivering first‑class customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of various fuels to customer sites.
• Loading and making deliveries in a safe and professional manner.
• Adhering to legal and company policies, completing vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly.
• Providing quality customer service with a proactive attitude.
• Following all Health and Safety procedures.
• Operating the vehicle and depot equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
• Building effective relationships with internal colleagues.
• Accurately completing all delivery paperwork.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK license with LGV Cat C+E and minimum two years commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid CPC and Digi Card.
• Knowledge of driver regulations and the Working Time Directive, including Skills and Digital Tacho Cards.
• Professional, flexible and self‑motivated.
• Basic IT knowledge for cab technology.
• Valid ADR Certificate (in date).
• Experience with transportation of Dangerous Goods.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
