Job summary

Stevenswood is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Operative at our Stockport branch. You will unload and deliver products in the local area using 3.5T vans, assist with stock at customer sites and maintain strong customer relationships.

Join a small close-knit team, be involved in showroom and warehouse duties, answer calls, greet customers and support daily operations with reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driving licence and experience with 3.5T vans.
• Able to lift large/heavy products safely.
• Familiar with stock checks, order picking and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Unload and deliver products in the local area using 3.5T vans.
• Assist with unloading stock at customer sites.
• Answer the telephone and greet customers at the branch.
• Take responsibility for showroom and warehouse duties and stock reporting.

Job description

Stevenswood is a dedicated supplier of PVCu and aluminium windows, doors, glass, conservatories and accessories, catering to both trade professionals and homeowners.

We are now looking to add a Driver/Warehouse Operative to the team at our Stockport trade counter.

You will be responsible for unloading and delivering products in the local area and helping to unload stock at customer sites whilst building great relationships with the customers.

We are looking for a team player to help the team in all aspects of the branch such as answering the telephone, greeting customers and full responsibility of our branch showroom and warehouse.

Skills And Experience

• Previous delivery delivering (3.5T vans) and heavy loading/unloading of Windows and Doors with knowledge of the geographical area
• Able to lift large and heavy products
• Valid Driving licence (Essential)
• Friendly, approachable and enjoys being with people
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines and work efficiently
• Familiar with stock control, order picking
• Basic computer literacy for stock checks, scanning of POD's and reporting any shortages to the relevant factories
• strong written and verbal communication skills with both their team, line manager and customers
• The ability to collaborate and cooperate with others in their small close knit team
