Job summary

FSW Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Operative to join a busy team. Your role combines driving deliveries in Manchester and the surrounding area with hands-on warehouse duties, including unloading, picking and packing orders, and maintaining accurate records.

The position requires a Full UK driving licence, good numeracy and literacy, and a professional customer-focused approach. Training is provided for any additional licences, with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proven driving experience with vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Professional customer service attitude.
• Ability to participate in out of hours standby service on a rostered basis.
• Forklift Licence would be advantageous, however training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan efficient delivery routes throughout Manchester and surrounding areas.
• Deliver goods safely and on time using vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
• Unload, sort, stack and store incoming goods in the warehouse.
• Pick and pack orders for customer collection and delivery.
• Process order requests accurately and maintain delivery documentation.

What You'll Be Doing

Driving and Delivery:

• Plan efficient delivery routes throughout Manchester and surrounding areas
• Deliver goods safely and on time using vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain roadworthiness
• Communicate with customers about delivery updates
• Handle fragile packages and heavy items including gas cylinders
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation

Warehouse Operations:

• Unload, sort, stack and store incoming goods
• Pick and pack orders for customer collection and delivery
• Process order requests accurately and efficiently
• Maintain clean and safe warehouse environment
• Assist with other warehouse functions as required

What You Need

• Good standard of education including maths and English
• Proven driving experience with vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
• Full UK driving licence required
• Professional customer service attitude
• Ability to participate in out of hours standby service on a rostered basis
